Martin Way Housing and Shelter first broke ground in November of 2020 and is making remarkable progress. We are just over 50% of the way done and are well on track for completion in December of 2021. This 5-story new construction, affordable rental building includes 65 permanent supportive housing units for people leaving homelessness. Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI) is the owner-operator and will contract with Interfaith Works (IW) to provide support services throughout the building. This is the first development of this type and to this scale that we have seen in Thurston County. Every shelter design element and apartment design element has been thoughtfully developed through first-hand experience and centering the people who will call this place home. We are so close to getting to our final fundraising goal! Please partner with us for the final stretch towards $18.1 million, less than $2 million to go. Join us as we “Raise the House” together to support our most vulnerable neighbors and friends.
